After reaching the grand old age of 30 and having worked for a farming community for most of his life, Arthur the Belgian draft horse was no longer of use to his owners.

In a bid to relocate the old age horse, his owners handled him to multiple dealers who made the frail horse participate in many painstaking auctions.

However at one of the auctions, Arthur met another horse named Max and the two were on the way to a high kill auction when their lives took a turn for the better.

Luckily, Cindy Daigre, a founder of a senior horse sanctuary, had seen pictures of the two horses and was horrified of their condition and decided to save both horses
