Crocodiles are one of the most ferocious predators in the animal kingdom and any sane person would do their best to steer well clear of them.

Needless to say, the American crocodile is one of the most dangerous predators in North, Central and South America. Weighing up to 850 lbs and with some growing up to 16 ft long, you definitely wouldn’t want to come face to face with these creatures. Not only that, their bite can excerpt up to 5,000 lbs per square inch which is considered to be the strongest bite in the animal kingdom.

Gilberto “Chito” Shredden from Siquirres, Limón Province, Costa Rica, worked as a fisherman and sometimes a tour guide. Fancying himself a bit of an amateur naturalist, he acquired many facts that helped him in his business. On a whole, Chito lived a very simple life with no drama, but little did he know that it was all about to change.
