Morgan the dachshund found himself orphaned and homeless at the grand age of 18.
While many dogs would have given up and struggled to adapt, Morgan remained hopeful and he is now living out his best life.

In March 2016 Morgan had to move to Lee County Domestic Animal Services shelter in Florida, after his owner sadly died and no-one was around to look after him. The pooch had a tough few years.
A Grand Age
This traumatic time would have been difficult for any dog, however due to Morgan’s age it was even harder. Most dogs only live to between 10 and 13, so it’s no surprise the move would have been a big deal for the aged dog. Staff at the shelter decided to make Morgan’s remaining time as enjoyable as possible.
Senior Paws Sanctuary
The team decided to contact Senior Paws Sanctuary in Florida – a home that focuses all of it’s efforts on caring for elderly dogs. They provide excellent comfort to older dogs, giving them a loving home to enjoy their final years.
