There are very few things in life better than brunching with best friends. But what if, like for many of us, your bff just so happens to be your pet pooch.

Well, do not fear, the dog lovers of Scotland have answered our prayers and opened up a deli where you and your canine companion can enjoy brunch side by side.

Corbie and Cheip, in Auchterarder, Perthshire, have started serving special bowls of doggy porridge to their four-legged visitors and it is what every dog owner’s dreams are made of.

Anne Schaeflein, the deli’s owner, came up with the idea shortly after opening last September and spent months working on the recipe with Ciaran Quigley of Barry Mill, she told The Sunday Post.

Anne, who has had dogs all her life, created a dog-friendly wholegrain porridge which she serves warm, with vegetables, German bacon or offal from nearby Grierson organic farm, for £3.50 a bowl.

Not to mention, she has made it possible for you to have breakfast with your pooch everyday by selling these doggy delicious oats for just £2.50 a bag.

‘Most dog owners are guilty of treating their pets almost like a child, so it’s nice to be able to take them somewhere they can eat alongside their owner,’ she said.

However, this isn’t the first place to welcome dogs and their owners with open arms. Pedigree London dog parlour, Pet Pavilion, teamed up with Chelsea-based restaurant Bluebird to create the Bites and Bones Brunch earlier this year, and now it appears as if the rest of the UK wants to get in on the action.

We aren’t surprised that these ingenious eateries are taking off and we expect to see many more popping up in the near future.
